Hi, like this forum, mine is still very new....

I am wondering how to best promote it?

Where is the best traffic, how to get people to register, do i allow signature links and how to keep people posting?

any suggestions very welcome, thanks

well i will state the obvious then

blog posting
articles with link bait
posting on similar forums (not spamming)
contests to attract membership
directory submission

thats a few ways to promote

I like to add to things social bookmarking sites and classified ads
this will help you to get a huge traffic in your forums and backlink also
