Default Problem with installing VBulletin on BlueHost.....help anyone?

Did everything according to vbulletin manual. Changed the config.php file (left it local host, or should I have put the host IP?)

It said to create a folder in MYSQL named vbulletin. Did that.

Next it said to upload the contents via FTP. I uploaded it to the 'public_html' folder in 'file manager' because i couldnt locate the SQL file that I created.

I tried to run the install script anyways "www.mywebsite.com / install / install . php".

I typed in the EXACT location of the install.php file in my file manager -

"www.mywebsite.com/ public_html / vbulletin / install / install. php"

It is STILL throwing me a 404 not found error.

What am I doing wrong?

You said you uploaded the contents of the folder into public_html..

if that means that the index.php file for VBulletin is in public_html, then you probably need to adjust the install link.

try "www.mywebsite.com/public_html/install/install.php"

With out knowing for sure where the files were uploaded to it will be hard to give a better answer.
