Does Google Analytics affect your search engine rankings if there is a high bounce rate on your site?
That's the million dollar question. Some say in theory that it may have value in rankings as a hint towards overall relevance.
The bigger question is in finding out what drives the high bounce rate. Is it relevance issues with the keywords searched for or does it deal with usability issues of the site.
If I had a high bounce rate I would be glad to do poorly in the rankings. Fix the bounce problem before worrying about ranking and when the rankings come you will have a better time getting people to stay and convert.
