I've always thought the google adsense ads you see on websites are very obtrusive and make the site look cheap, however if it brings in a decent income then it might be worth it... How much income do they bring in?

If you have a website + time (to market your site to drive visitors) = $ from google ads will be rolling in... I have crossed the $10 benchmark few months ago when I drive traffic else... it will not be this much.

Yes, if you doing well on driving traffic to your website with quality content + great ads size and placement, then you can earn well. The income might also depend on the niche, some niche have higher ads due to the keywords.
