Default Google Adsense question

Okay so on my web site I am marketing a search engine. The page is just a logo, search engine and 3 ads; a banner and two small advertisements with google adsense. So here is my problem: I want each advertisement to be random, where as right now they are all the same but contain the same words (ie: on word in my header is "cross", so almost all of the advertisements the advertisements are "ross book store, ross skiing, cross stitching" etc.). And there are no advertising images, its just text ads. So is there any way i can fix this?

Yes, in your adsense control panel, adsense setup-get ads and create the ad from scratch. Make sure you select the drop down box for image and text ads. If you have already done that, I would suggest going to the filter portion of adsense.. its one of the tabs where you can basically type in Urls that you do not want showing ads on your site. Just look at your site, the URL of one of those Ross book store ads, and add that URL to the competitive ad filter on your adsense menu bar.

Just like the other person said you can opt to have image ads on your site - just follow the directions that the other person put in their post.

If you want the ads to be "random" then I kind of don't think that that is possible because remember adsense "crawls" your site for content and if the only content that you have is in your header then that is the content that they will use for the ads that will appear.

If you don't want to change your header information then you are going to have to use Adsense's target-sectioning to exclude the header contents - but in that respect then there won't be any content to "crawl" for and you may end up with public service ads where you won't get paid for clicks.

The most simplest solution is to add other content so that Adsense will have something to "crawl" for.

But basically speaking the adsense ads can't be "random" because the ads depend on the content that is on your site.

And - by the way - it s against Adsense TOS to place the adsense code on pages with no content / no other content than pictures and ads.
