Default Do links from social media/networking websites (Facebook, Linkedin, Youtube) help inc

I work for a small electronics company and am wondering if building a group page on LinkedIn would help our search engine optimization? When someone joins your group, does the link to your site on their page help increase your number of inbound links?

Advertising on social networking sites is a phenominal idea to help promote your service/product/website. I guarantee that you will find people that are interested in whatever your niche is provided you work hard to promote.

As far as helping rankings and inbound link totals, I don't think it will help too much. Take facebook for instance. In order to view the page you need to be signed in and in some cases a member of the same network. I also believe that most links on facebook would be 'no follow'.

unfortunately including your link in facebook will only succeed to increase web traffic to your site but not increase your page rank... as most social sites have no follow tags.....though there are some that do follow.. here is a list

also.. seeing htat your aim is to increase backlinks to your site.. download seo quake... it is a browser plugin for IE or firefox.. it has a option to show which sites have dofollow tags and sites which have nofollow tags.. highly recommended for building your page rank and search engine ranking position

here is the link

Not if you have a B2B website. If you are an affiliate marketer, they are great resources. So it depends what your market is.

I don't think it will help much except for the small amount of ppl that will click on your link - you will not help increase your number of inbound links - most places have a "no Follow"

Historically, social media sites don't have much success at producing traffic that converts. However, companies like Blendit have done well with YouTube. There are so many variables that come into play here. Even Google hasn't figured out how to make YouTube pay of.

it will give you traffics no doubt, but not a good rank. You can submit your site at social newstag, social media sites . there are many dofollow social media sites. they can help you.
another option is article submission.
