Default free hosting (for my linux dist.) ?
well, I just created a new linux dist. with a small team and non of us can afford a good server to host our linux dist (for people to download it) !!

any site that hosts for free?

SourceForge will host it for free. I don't know that you can have a large capacity repository, though.

Only gives you 250 MB in disk space, ad free, but they also give you 100 GB in transfer. I get 250-500 KB/sec downloading files from my free account there. I am happy with them.
