My advice will be to bid on the projects being advertised on Elance.com, rentacoder.com, etc. - do a google search for free lance sites.

By the way, I am always looking for good Web / Seo / Sem people - why don't you email me with some of the work you have done and your hourly rates.

or you can create your own blog and site and do SEO of it for freelancing.

I have had a small amount of contact from answering questions on this site. As for Elance, be prepared to do 10 times the work for 1/3 of the price.

The jobs posted there and the bids people/companies want to pay are ridiculous. SEO on Elance is definitely geared toward those in other countries who will work for $10.00 to $15.00 an hour.
