Does anyone know where I can get completely FREE data recovery software?

I am so sick of this I don't know what to do. My computer decided to reinstall windows and "erased" my files from my computer. After calling Dell, I was directed to some "free" data recovery software and have spent the better part of today running them only to find out that I need to purchase the software in order to get my files back. I DO NOT have $100. Does anyone know where I can get completely FREE data recovery software? Just list the name not the link. Today I used powerdatarecovery and photo recovery both listed on http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2008/01/24/top-10-free-data-recovery-software/ and advanced NTFS recovery so no help there. Please help! Thanks for your speedy assistance!

Rejean, you're not making a whole lot of sense. I do not know how to make a partition. Can someone provide me with REAL help?

If you lost your data completely (deleted data from Hard Drive) you are not going to recover it, unless you pay $100 or so for the Software.

If the data lost is important, I would buy the software. =]

You can try undelete and/or undelete plus or also a program called recuva. There are several places where you can get them free like the majorgeeks.com download page or at filehippo.com or download.com. Best to you...

what i did is make a new partition on my pc

its my recovery partition!!!!
i can acces it with grub OS loader (google it)

but i dont need it anymore
cuz i dont use winblows, i use linux

linux doesnt crash, isnt slow and it doesnt have any viruses!!

and guess what? its absolutely FREE!!!!!

its waaaay better than win$hit and it real intense
