Default apple safari question?

You're experiencing a feature that Microsoft has so "nicely" added to Windows Vista called "User Account Control." In order to disable this, go to into the Control Panel, go to User Accounts, then click the link that says "Turn User Account Control on or off." Then on the next screen uncheck the box that says "Use User Account Control...," then hit "OK." You may or may not have to restart. I forget.

Default apple safari question?

Are you trying to install Safari? If so, that needs permission to continue.

If you have Safari already installed on your computer, it does not need permission to run. If it is installed and asking for permission, it is probably an unwanted program. In this case, go find Safari in the Add/Remove Programs list and uninstall it.

If you are unsure if the program you are trying to install is Safari go to: http://www.apple.com/safari/download/

Then, delete the file that needs permission to run (the one you are unsure of). Run the file you just downloaded from Apple, grant it permission to install, and use Safari.

I don't recommend turning off UAC, as it can be very helpful when unwanted programs decide to run things you do not want them to run.
